Jay S. Pi, Ph.D. joined Brown Capital Management in 2025. Before joining the firm, Jay worked as a data engineer at a Md.-based biotech startup focused on neurodegenerative diseases. Prior to that, Jay spent seven years as a graduate researcher at Johns Hopkins University, where he developed data science techniques to advance brain/machine interface technologies. Jay earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in biomedical engineering.
