Calvin H. Baker, Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager, joined Brown Capital Management in 2000 and began his professional career in the industry in 1969. Prior to this, Mr. Baker was Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Wisconsin Energy Corporation and a Senior Vice President and Analyst at the Financial Services Corporation of New York. He also worked as a Securities Analyst at Smith Barney, Harris Upham and as a Corporate Loan Officer at Citibank. Cal worked outside of the investment business as an entrepreneur for 15 years.
He earned a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History at Franklin & Marshall College. Cal is currently on the Board of the Walters Art Museum.
